CDI Olomouc proved to be a successful show for Australian dressage rider Jemma Heran, with both of her young horses – five-year-old Zauberfloete 10 and seven-year-old For Gold 9 – achieving impressive results in their respective classes.
Jemma and the black Oldenburg mare Zauberfloete 10 (by Zen Liquidity out of Hot Amour P.S., by San Amour) produced a standout score of 80.8% to win the CDI-YH Five-Year-Old Final Test from a field of eleven combinations. Their marks included 8.8 for trot, 7.3 for walk, 8.3 for canter, 7.7 for submission, and 8.3 for perspective.
Earlier, in the CDI-YH Five-Year-Old Preliminary Test, the pair placed second in a field of twelve on 78%, finishing less than one percent behind the winners — Jan Zamec and Lousiano from the Czech Republic, who scored 78.8%. It marked Zauberfloete’s first international young horse class.
Jemma also partnered the Hanoverian stallion For Gold 9 (by Foundation 2 out of Galante, by Goldfever II) — a horse she has ridden for the past four years — in the seven-year-old classes, where they enjoyed further success.
The duo placed second in the CDI-YH Seven-Year-Old Final Test from eight combinations, receiving a score of 74.015% (80.6% for quality and 67.429% for technical execution). Jemma and For Gold finished just behind the winners — Jennifer Hoffman and Fandiamo 4 from the USA — who scored 74.515% (79.6%/69.429%).
In the CDI-YH Seven-Year-Old Preliminary Test, the Australian combination again placed second with a score of 75.079%, narrowly behind the leading US combination on 75.454%. This was also For Gold’s debut at international young horse level.

Jemma also contested the CDI3* Grand Prix with Saphira Royal 2, placing seventh with a score of 63.283%.
On the opening day of CDI Olomouc, fellow Australian Kate Kyros won the CDI Under-25 Intermediate II class with her 13-year-old KWPN stallion (Apache x Harmony’s Rousseau) on a score of 68.235%. The combination later withdrew from the CDI-U25 Grand Prix.
