Day three of the 2018 Ellanbrae Park Australian Youth Dressage Championships (AYDC) thankfully brought cooler weather for competitors, a welcome change from the first two days!

The FEI classes saw some if Australia’s top young riders in action. In the FEI U25 Grand Prix for riders aged 16-25 years, it was Fern Wright and Kamber Pryderi who took first place with a score of 67.094%.
The FEI Intermediate I 22-25 years was won by recent Aachen Challenge finalist Emily O’Connell and her off the track thoroughbred Moonlight Park Foxtrot.
In the FEI Junior Individual 14-18 years, Jessica Hivon scored 65.784% to win with Greenbacks Weltmann, while the FEI Pony Individual 12-16 years was won by Jasmine Haynes and Steendieks Champ of Glory.

Jamie Mita and Westewind won the FEI Young Rider Individual Test 16-21 years on 68.676%, just ahead of Tanisha Ryan and Quizzical on 67.157%.
The Medium Championship went to Phoebe Folks riding Fire and Magic, while the Novice Championship went to Jayde Kirkham and Thamesbourne Sunsprite. Class Capture ridden by Jemma Dodd won the Pony Novice Championship. The Participation Preliminary classes were hotly contested with many entries, and the overall Championship going to Indi Officer and Devlin Park Time Will Tell.
The Elementary Freestyle class also took place on Saturday, and was won by Sophie Taylor and Raven Lodge Aura on 69.313%.
Congratulations to all who competed yesterday! The action continues today at Boneo Park, with the final day of the AYDC featuring Freestyle classes from Novice to Grand Prix, as well as Horse and Pony Preliminary tests, and Participation Novice classes for riders 8-25 years.
