Marcus Oldham Ballarat International Horse Trials took place from 4-5 May with EA and FEI level classes on offer.

Fresh from their sixth-placed performance in the CCI4*S at Adelaide, Yona Lloyd and his own Ballahowe Ayurvedic – a 13-year-old warmblood by Alessandro (Sandro Hit) out of Northern Fortuna – won the headline class.

The pair took out the Beta Vets CCI4*S on a score of 44.9; third after the dressage, they moved up to second after adding a rail and time faults in the show jumping on a course where no combinations were clear. They then produced the quickest cross country round of the class to add just 3.6 time faults to their final score.

Second in the CCI4*S went to Samantha Cesnik and Graftango on 45.9, while Andy Daines and off-the-track Thoroughbred Hat Trick finished third on 52.8.

The Hewitt and Whitty CCI3*S went to Sam Jeffree and eight-year-old Tulara Baltango on 40.2. Sam has just taken over the ride, with owned and rider Sophia Hill recently travelling to the UK to base there with Thoroughbreds Humble Glory and Seattle Park while she campaigns for the Paris Olympics.

Second place in the CCI3*S went to Rory Hamilton and Magic Mike TAE on 44.4, and then Georgia Tivendale and Bellevue Hill finished third on 45.8.

Ashlee Slavich and off-the-track Thoroughbred General John won the 4CYTE CCI2*S on 31.8. Molly Barry and another OTT, Impulsive Ways, finished second on 36.5, while Natalie Davies and Camilla Elmare were third on 36.5.
