The gold medal Scottish Olympian has made the decision to retire Ursula XII, his 17-year-old Scottish Sport Horse after finishing sixth in the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix at the CHI in Geneva, Switzerland.

Brash and Ursula have had a hugely successful partnership, with the pair winning the Longines Global Champions Tour grand prix of Mexico earlier this year, and the Doha Grand Prix the previous year. The pair have also had countless podium finishes over the duration of their partnership, which began in 2012.

Ursula will return home to Scott’s stables where he hopes to put her in foal the following year. “She’ll make a really good mother as she has the best temperament” says Scott. “We will make sure she enjoys a very happy retirement and she will certainly be very pampered.”
