Patrik Kittel & Team Sweden dominate Compiègne CDIO5*

Competition has wrapped up at Les Internationaux de Dressage in Compiègne, France, with Sweden claiming a strong victory in the FEI Nations Cup teams event.

The team comprised of Antonia Ramel riding Brother De Jeu, Juliette Ramel riding Buriel KH and Patrik Kittel riding Well Done De La Roche CMF.

The CDIO5* classes, which included the Grand Prix, Special and Freestyle, all contributed to the the teams’ overall scores.

With a victory in both the Grand Prix (78.065%) and Freestyle (81.455%), Patrik Kittel led the team to victory; not only did Patrik top both classes amongst the team riders, but also against the full field that included those riding individually and not as part of the Nations Cup. Juliette  Ramel took out the Special amongst team riders (76.681% – second overall) and was fourth in the Grand Prix (75.522% – fourth overall), while Antonia Ramel was seventh in the Grand Prix (73.282% – eighth overall) and third in the Special (74.787% – fourth overall).

Denmark’s Carina Cassøe Krüth won the Special overall, scoring 77.872% riding Heiline’s Danciera.  

Portugal finished second in the Nations Cup rankings, while Great Britain was third.

Compiègne also hosted CDI3* Grand Prix classes, which saw some great scores recorded by Patrik Kittel’s wife, Australian Lyndal Oatley.
