Kate Kyros has finished second in the Prize of Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger Foundation (CDI-Y Individual test) at CHIO Aachen, posting an impressive score of 70.176% with Intro K.
Kate – who is currently ranked number two in the FEI Young Rider world rankings – is the first Australian to ever contest the invite-only Young Rider competition at Aachen, and what a way to start!
The pair were only just narrowly behind the winners from Germany, Lana-Pinou Baumgürtel and ZINQ Emma FH, who scored 70.823%. Three of the five judges actually had Kate and Intro K placed first.
Kate and Intro K will next contest the Prize of Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger Foundation (CDI-Y Freestyle) on Saturday at 5.02pm CEST, 1.02am Sunday AEST.
