Jessica Dertell & Cennin win Victorian Dressage Festival Grand Prix Freestyle

It was a much cooler and wetter day at Werribee for the third day of the Stable Ground Victorian Dressage Festival, with rain falling for much of the day.

The FEI Grand Prix Freestyle took place in the afternoon, and although only three combinations took to the area, it was hotly contested. Jessica Dertell and Cennin posted a big score of 76.8% to claim victory, ahead of Michelle Baker and Bradgate Park Puccini on 72.93%, and Justine Greer with Fonzie II in third on 70.37%.

Jessica also finished first and second in the FEI U25 Grand Prix Freestyle with Syriana and Zanzibar, scoring 75.395% and 74.21% respectively.

In other classes, the Inter B went to Friday’s Inter A winners, Amy Bachmann and Genuine River; the pair scored 64.55%.

The FEI Inter I was won by Fiona Smith and Bluefields De Noir on 70.098%, and the FEI Pony Inter I went to Ann Smiley and Lynlea Flashdance on 65.392%.

The FEI Young Rider Team Test was won by Felicity Sutherland and Estee on 66.177%, while the FEI Junior Individual Test went to Olivia Gillespie and Amsterdam on 69.118%. Keely Keet won the FEI Childrens Team Test with a score of 69.85% aboard GB Crème Deluxe.

National classes

The Advanced 5.2 went to Samantha Barlett and AB Final Romance on 69.671%, and the 5.3 went to Justine Greer with Bloomfield Sekuona on 72.298%. In the Pony Advanced division, Grace Lawes and Carwyn Versace won the 5.2 on 65.987% and the 5.3 on 66.081%.

The Elementary 3.2 went to Julia Day and Heathmont For Keeps on 70.063%, while the 3.3 was won by Vivienne Axton and Karizmah Vienna on 69.207%.

The Pony Elementary 3.2 saw a quinella for Bianca Griffiths, finishing first with Envyious Philino on 69.5% and second with Benita PD on 68.75%. However in the 3.3, it was Jessie Fleming and Pen-Nant Fire Cracker who came out on top with 70.122%

Young Horses & Ponies

In round two of the Six-Year-Old classes, the Young Pony division went to Toni Webb and Salient Park Once Again on 75.4%, while the Young Horse division was won by Nottingham GP ridden by Olivia Gillespie on 85%.

Round two of the Young Pony 4-Year-Old class saw another win to Toni Webb, this time with Freeman’s Lodge Global on 78.8%, while the Young Horse division went to Rhodolite for Marc Green with a score of 77.2%.
