Riding the nine-year-old German Sporthorse stallion Amandori, by Ampere at his international Grand Prix debut in Le Mans, France, Simone Pearce has placed 4th in a field of 25 starters on a score of 71.022%.
Denmark’s Nanna Skodborg Merrald won the class riding Blue Hors Zack scoring 74.174% ahead of Alexandre Ayache in 2nd place for France, riding Zo What to score 72.109%. Russian Aleksandra Maksakova placed 3rd with Bojengels, scoring 71.804%.
Simone was clearly delighted with the exciting young stallion’s performance, posting on the Simone Pearce Dressage Facebook page: “So incredibly happy and proud of my little self made legend Amandori making a top international Grandprix debut today for over 71% and 4th place in the GP of Le Mans!! This is the first horse I’ve ever had the opportunity (which has not been sold) to take all the way from young horse classes to international GP and he definitely did me proud today!!!!! Understandably some small but costly mistakes which I will aim to improve in the tests to come and of course he needs more experience on these big shows but it’s only his 3rd ever GP at just 9 years old- I’m one happy rider!”
Congratulations Simone!
