Elite competition continues at the Sydney CD-LITE!

Day three at the Sydney CD-Lite kicked off with a bang with the Jill Cobcroft Intermediate I, Assistance Dogs Australia FEI Under 25 Grand Prix and the Trailrace Young Horse Four Year Old – Round 2. There was plenty to watch for the multitude of competitors and spectators alike!
Jayden Brown continued his winning streak in the small tour classes with WillingaPark Fusion securing 1st in the Jill Cobcroft Intermediate 1 with a score of 74.706%. Closely behind in 2nd was WillingaPark Quincy B with a massive score of 73.039% for his debut at Intermediate 1. In 3rd and 4th were Shannon Mckimmie and Sasha Tivey’s beautiful Dance Salentin on a score of 70.00% and her own Quebec 51 on a score of 68.284%. In 5th was Maree Tomkinson riding the beautiful Furst Deluxe to achieve a score of 68.284% and in 6th was Mary Warren and the lovely Mindarah Park Ramirus for a score of 67.598%.

The highly anticipated Heran Building Group Grand Prix Special did not disappoint! Despite only a handful of tests at this level Emma Weel’s stunning Santiago, ridden by Matthew Dowsley, secured the win with an incredible score of 74.383%. At only 10 years of age this horse looks very exciting for the future! Less than 1% behind was Mary Hanna and the gorgeous Calanta finishing their test with a score of 73.574%. Completing the elite trio was Rozzie Ryan and Jarrah R who claimed 3rd with a great score of 69.085%.

In the Liverpool Catholic Club Intermediate B, Jenny Gehrke and the fabulous Senator Nymphenburg continued their success from yesterday to achieve 1st with a score of 67.297%.
Shannan Connell and Ashwoods Palladyn secured 1st today in the Trailrace Four Year Old Young Horse Round 2 for a score of 88.40%. Questing R’s progeny went back to back in 2nd and 3rd with Tyler Bain’s Quizzical R placing 2nd with a score of 86.20% and Maddison Growcott’s BZ Qantas placing 3rd with 83.30%.

In the Kohnke’s Own Young Pony 4 Year Old Round 2, Justin Worthy and Tamlyn Farm Calamity Jane secured the win with a score of 82.40%. Goldfarben ridden by Holly Barnes was close behind with a final score of 80.30%
Alexis Hellyer and Fidibus won the Kyros Family 5 year old Young Horse Round 2 with a superb score of 85.80%. John Thompson riding Aber Fontaine MI and Matthew Lord riding Carool Charmer were in equal 2nd with a score of 81.00% and third went to Johannes Joltzhausen riding Franzisco RW with a score of 79.20%.
The Kohnke’s Own Young Pony 5 Year Old Round 2 was won by SLH Fire N Ice ridden by Serena Ireland for a score of 78.80%. Exactly 0.2% behind in 2nd was Justin Worthy riding FreemansLodge Divine Essence and in 3rd was Emily Gubbins riding Heart of Gold BSP for a score of 70.80%.
Robbie Mckinnon and QS Sierra claimed 1st in the Chaballo 6 Year Old Young Horse Round 2 with a score of 89%; 2nd went to Rodney Martin riding Vellvit with a score of 85.40% and in 3rd was Katina Smith riding BC Chilli Pepper with a score of 85.20%.
The Kohnke’s Own 6 Year Old Young Pony Round 2 was won by Michelle Baker with a score of 87.60%. In 2nd was Sydney Evans riding EPH California for a score of 82.80% and in 3rd was Ava Braniff riding Noble Empress for 77.60%.
Alexis Hellyer continued to shine in the young horse classes with Daenarys winning the ENSW 7 Year Old Young Horse with a score of 86.80% and Valhalla I coming 2nd with 84.00%. In third was Brierley Super Nova ridden by Anwen Lovett for a score of 74.20%.
Charlotte Phillips and CP Dresden continued their clean sweep of the Assistance Dogs Australia FEI Under 25 Grand Prix class, coming 1st with 69.692%.
Isabelle Wilcox-Aylward and the beautiful Revelwood Florentine took out 1st in the Agnes Banks Equine Clinic FEI Young Rider Individual Test. The competition was strong, and with placings drastically changing throughout the competition it underlined that it is anyone’s game.
Matilda Bills and High Heelz Firfod remained unbeaten in the Junior classes achieving a score of 70.882% in the Camden Equine Clinic FEI Junior Individual Test.
Ava Braniff and Allengreen Medallist secured 1st in the Dressage New South Wales FEI Pony Individual test with a superb score of 71.712%.
Tomorrow brings the start of the Freestyle classes as well as the finals for the young horse championships. Both riders and spectators alike are looking forward to enjoying the riders’ ability to showcase the talents of their horses; who doesn’t love Freestyle day!
