This year, 18 combinations will line up in the Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4*L, while the Equestrian Australia CCI4*S returns with 11 entries, and the CCI3*L features 24 starters. The Off The Track CCI2*L is set to feature a whopping 42 entries, with a further 19 entered in the CCI2*L Young Rider/Junior class. In the Off The Track CCN1*-L for off-the-track Thoroughbreds, a record 42 horses will line up, with strong numbers also listed for the Yulong Rising Stars and IRT Young Event Horses classes.
The field for the headline CCI4*L is a vast increase on last year’s entry numbers, and with the top three placegetters from 2025 (Sophia Hill and Tulara Baltango, Shane Rose and Holy Moses, and Hannah Klep with Tulara Chicouve) not entered this year, it will be a podium of fresh faces in 2026.
Last year’s CCI3*L winners, Charlee Morton-Sharp and SV Supermaxi (OTT) from Western Australia, are returning to Werribee to contest their first CCI4*L alongside several other combinations from across the Nullarbor: Riley Lyall and GI War Machine (OTT), Sarah Dawson and Imposing (OTT), and Kenya Wilson with Sandros Salute MW. The West Australian contingent had great success at MI3DE in 2025 and certainly have the trip to Werribee down to a fine art.

This year’s Adelaide CCI4*S winners Jess Somerfield and APH New Sensation head into the CCI4*L at MI3DE in fine form, as does Christine Bates and Bloomfield Findon with their recent Quirindi CCI4*S win, and Mackenzie Walch and Eliva Corduroy with their second-placed finish at Ballarat CCI4*S.
Samantha Cesnik is back from European with five-star mare Graftango – a CCI4*L podium finisher from MI3DE in 2024 – and Sarah Clark is also back on Australian soil with Casallia S, a horse who competed extensively with Sarah in Europe for several years. WEC In The Breeze for David Middleton is another five-star mare in this year’s field
Andrew Cooper is saddling up his Adelaide CCI4*S podium finisher Ocean Eight alongside Omega Star, both Thoroughbreds, while Charlie Richardson and Andrew Daines will both also saddle up their OTTs Remington Hill and Hat Trick respectively. With 52 starts on the track for 11 wins, Zachary Thorne’s Wu Gok is an OTT in the field that certainly knows how to gallop!
Rachelle Verma will debut Sandhills Crystella at CCI4*L level, as will Andrew Barnett with Oscar Park Deluge, and Samuel Fasher with Angelina Gold.
