Sam Overton & Oaks Cassanova crowned 2022 Australian World Cup Season Champions
By Equestrian Life
The sixth and final World Cup Qualifier (CSI-W) for the 2022 Australian World Cup Qualifying Season took place over the weekend at the Chatham Park Summer Showjumping Classic at Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
Amber Fuller and Nopal Van Tallaert claimed the win, being one of just two combinations to produce a double clear during the two-round contest.

Sam Overton and Oaks Cassanova produced the other double clear to finish second, while Izabella Stone and Tulara Stolzette had just the one rail down in the second round to place third.
Olivia Hamood and Jane Fonda DVD were fourth, Amanda Madigan and Diamond B Vivienne finished fifth, and Tom McDermott rounded out the top six with Cooley Gangster.
However, it was Sam Overton and the mighty little chestnut who finished on top of the 2022 Australian World Cup Qualifying Season leaderboard after a calculated final round – and of course a very consistent year. The win earns them the opportunity to represent Australia at the World Cup Finals next April in Omaha, Nebraska.
Congratulations to Sam and Oaks Cassanova, and Amber and Nopal Van Tallaert, as well as all their connections!
