“We are beyond excited and incredibly proud to officially confirm that Osaka P and Jessica Dertell have been selected to represent Australia… what an unforgettable season it has been for this special combination, achieving scores up to 84% and continuing to grow in confidence, harmony and quality every time they step into the arena.”

Osaka P won the Seven-Year-Old Young Dressage Horse Championship at this year’s Dressage and Jumping with the Stars.

Future Farms Arabians is run by Jess’ parents Kate and Doyle Dertell, with Jess and brother Kody forming part of the family business that breeds and produces Arabians and also runs a team of dressage horses – including seven-year-old imported KWPN stallion Osaka P (Escolar x Florencio), who is owned by Kate and Jess.

“To see Jess and Osaka earn the opportunity to compete on the world stage is a dream come true and a testament to the hard work, dedication and belief from everyone involved in their journey.

“Thank you to our amazing team, owners, supporters, sponsors and everyone who has cheered them on along the way. We are so proud of the journey they are on and cannot wait to fly the Australian flag in Verden this August.”

Equestrian Australia is yet to publicly announce the Australian team for the 2026 FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses. Australia has the opportunity to send one entrant for each of the five-, six- and seven-year-old age groups.
