Week one consists of national level classes, while week two will host the Caboolture World Cup Qualifier – which comes with prize money of $20,000.
Week one action
Olivia Hamood and Diangella (Diamant de Semilly x Toulon) shone in the Divas Beverages Rider’s Cup 1.50m. The combination produced two double clear rounds to secure the win by 0.01 seconds. In second was Rhys Stones and Riverton Kanntador (Kannan x ASB Conquistador), who produced great rounds but were just a tenth of a millisecond too slow to claim victory. In third was Frida Lindgren and Sovereign’s Forever (For Pleasure x Balou du Rouet).
In the Genelite 1.45m Special Two-Phase, Lane Clarke and James Bugatti (Jame’s Bellini’s Boy) took top honours with a time of 30.81 seconds in the second phase. Phillip Lever and Billionaire NZPH (Calvaro x Mr Blue) were the runners up with a final time of 31.72 seconds. Rounding out the podium was Clem Smith and Oaks Conjuror (Chicago x Dollar de la Pierre) with a time of 32.48.
In the Pineview Station 1.40m Against the Clock, Cody Tincknell and Numero Too (Numero Uno x Vivant) were unbeatable! The pair secured the lead by almost ten seconds, finishing the course in 59.64 seconds. In second was Sarah Duggan and Bellhaven Toulon Blue (Toulon x Plotblue) with a time of 69.35 seconds and in third was Shane Davidson and Spectre D (Stakkato x Le Primeur) with a time of 73.76 seconds.
Cody Tincknell and Si Si Strike (Cera Cassiago x U) won the Enhanced Building & Maintenance 1.35m Special Two-Phase with two quick double clear rounds, finishing phase one in 34.32 seconds and phase two in 35.26 seconds. In second was Sally Simmonds and Hillbreeze Blue Diamond (Diamont de Semilly x Chacco Blue) with a double clear round, finishing the second phase on a time of 36.11 seconds. In third was Lane Clarke and Oaks Emperor Waltz (by Emerald Van ‘T Ruytershof) who finished the second phase with a time of 36.11 seconds.
Week two starts today
Caboolture World Cup Qualifier with a $20,000 prize pool and a draw of 36 riders, and competition will be fierce!
The David Overton Memorial Cup for Future Stars (6,7,8-year-olds) is also being run with a field of 55 combinations, while the prestigious Stal Tops Young Rider class features a field of 44 riders.
