The sun was out today making day three at the Helgstrand at Turnberry Sydney CD-Lite a delight for competitors and spectators alike.

Gaylene Lennard and her striking black gelding Jax Johnson turned heads in the Kyros Family Grand Prix Special *** to win the test with 70.00%. Having made the trip from New Zealand and already achieving a MER and a win today, we look forward to watching this combination in the Dressage NSW Grand Prix Freestyle *** tomorrow. In second was Jayden Brown and Willinga Park Sky Diamond with a PB of 69.894%.  In third was John Thomson and the Kyros Family’s gorgeous stallion Chemistry with a score of 67.319%. Tension today stopped the pair from putting their best hoof forward.

Jodie Dunstan and Hollands Bend Highlander continued their success from the previous day to win the Liverpool Catholic Club Intermediate B CDN with a score of 68.449%. Less than 1% behind was Robert Harrison Schmerglatt riding Quando Queen to a score of 67.793%. In third was Breanna Tilitzki and BZ Rafael with a score of 65.270%.

Jayden Brown and Willinga Park Quincy B had an exuberant start today in the Jill Cobcroft Intermediate I CDN but that did not stop the pair from claiming the win with 74.755%. Hot on their tails was Alexis Hellyer riding Daenerys and Emma Flavelle-Watts riding Remi Downunder who both finished on a score of 73.088%.

Jessica Dertell rode Sabble Farms Eskara De Jeu to a PB score of 67.436% in the Balladoir Park CDI U25 Grand Prix. In second was Mary Nitschke riding Utopian Cardinal with a score of 64.872% and in third was Claire Plenty riding Queensland with 63.462%.

Jessica Dertell also achieved a PB score on the beautiful Gladstone MH (owned by Sabble Farm) in the Agnes Bank Equine Clinic CDI Young Rider Individual test with 71.618%. In second was Danielle McMahon riding Remi Lauries Joy with a score of 68.716%. Keeping Danielle on her toes was Tanisha Ryan riding Jembrae Rattle n Hum in third with 68.333%.

Scores were close in the Helgstrand at Turnberry CDN Junior Individual Test with 1.5% separating first and fourth. In first was Elizabeth Taylor riding Maybelle Matilda with 68.529%. In second was Alicia Garth riding Bellaire Cobra 68.382% and in third was Kate Kyros riding Courtlands Cadman with 67.941%.

Jessica Skinner riding Burrowa Bashar continued their success from yesterday in the Helgstrand at Turnberry CDN FEI pony class to win the Indivudal Test today with 68.468%.

The top two combinations from the final round of each young horse class today shall go through to the championship determining round tomorrow. These combinations are:

ZANNA NORTHAM FOUR-YEAR-OLD:
Serena Ireland riding Flawless NGE – 83.800%
Harvey Besley riding Senzation – 80.400%

HANOVERIAN HORSE SOCIETY OF AUSTRALIA FIVE-YEAR-OLD:
Edwina Hutton-Potts riding WPH Sirtana – 86.00%
Alexandra Vodermair riding Richy Rich – 79.800%
Maddison Growcott riding BZ Qantas – 79.800%

CHABALLO SIX-YEAR-OLD:
Robbie McKinnon riding SPH Fortino – 88.800%
Andrew Buckley riding Franzisco RW – 85.800%

SPRENGER SEVEN-YEAR-OLD:
Matthew Dowsley riding TS Firestorm – 80.568%
Rodney Martin riding Vellvit – 77.390%

For the para classes it was freestyle day today. The winners of each class were

Grade II – Maddison Cooke riding Byalee Magic II with a score of 70.834%

Grade IV – Helen Batson riding Fayani with a score of 71.825%

Grade V – Lisa Martin riding Juicy Wiggle with a score of 72.438%
