Day 2 of the highly anticipated Waratah World Cup Show has finished today at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, with excitement building for the World Cup Qualifier tomorrow from 2pm.
GeoPro Open 1.35m Art.238 2.1
Samuel Overton had a strong performance in the 1.35m class, taking both first and second place. Riding Oaks Cassanova, Overton rode to victory in 57.10 seconds, followed by another clear performance on Cha Cha Blue GHP, finishing with a time of 60.69 seconds. Jessica Stalling claimed third place aboard Chatina, with a time of 61.20 seconds, rounding out the top three riders.
Keeden Contracting 1.45m Art.238 2.1
Maverick Miles took the top spot in the 1.45m class, riding Verdasco to a clear round in 71.11 seconds. James Mooney was close behind on KPH Cavatina, finishing with a time of 72.25 seconds. Julie Davey and LT Holst Freda completed the podium, clearing the course in 74.03 seconds.
Wallaby Hill Open 1.25m Art.238 2.1
Roy Andrew Inglis delivered the fastest round in the 1.25m class, piloting Indiana Goodtimes to a penalty-free round in just 59.28 seconds. Sarah Duggan followed closely with Hemsworth, completing her clear round in 60.60 seconds. Merrick Ubank, on Yalambi’s Kandy Ripple, secured third place with a time of 61.84 seconds.

Antares Australia Young Rider 1.30m Art.238 2.2
In the Young Rider 1.30m class, Jack Barker claimed victory on Tulara Colchic, impressing with a jump-off time of 39.68 seconds after a clear first round. Sophie Scarce and Christella followed in second, finishing their jump-off in 40.81 seconds. Sienna Bellis completed the podium with Platinum Ego Z, finishing her round with four faults and a time of 41.31 seconds in the jump-off.
Caliera Performance Horses Futurity Art.238 2.2
The Caliera Performance Horses Futurity saw Frida Lindgren and Wondareen Colleen rise to the top again today, completing their jump-off in 35.70 seconds. Chris Chugg, a consistent performer, followed closely on Oaks Ella with a time of 35.99 seconds. Sarah McMillan secured third place aboard Everest Jep, rounding out the top three with a time of 36.43 seconds.
Trans-Tasman Team Young Rider Challenge
In the second round of the Trans-Tasman Team Young Rider Challenge, NZ secured the lead. With the final to be held tomorrow following the World Cup, both teams will start on equal footing.
