Para Dressage, the equestrian discipline on the Paralympic programme, will take place from 16 to 21 August 2028 across six days of competition.

The timetable for the equestrian competitions at the LA28 Paralympic Games is has been carefully developed with the climatic conditions in mind to provide the best possible environment for the horses, athletes, officials, and spectators alike.

As with previous Paralympic Games, the timetable remains provisional and may be subject to change up until the Games in 2028.

“Following the comprehensive presentation by LA28 at the FEI General Assembly 2025 and the confirmation of the Olympic competition schedule, the announcement of the Paralympic timetable is another important milestone,” FEI President Ingmar De Vos said.

“Para Dressage will officially begin on 14 August with the first horse inspection, one day ahead of the Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony. Competitions will run from 16 to 21 August across six days.

“The schedule is compact, balanced and designed with horse and athlete welfare at its core. Three non-competition days are built in to allow horses and athletes to settle in, prepare and recover, while also providing flexibility should unforeseen circumstances arise.

“We are very pleased with the progress being made towards the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic equestrian events and look forward to continuing our close collaboration with the Organising Committee over the next two years.

“It is also very positive that Para Equestrian will retain the same medal events and quota places as at Paris 2024. As with the Olympic competitions, the Para Dressage events will take place at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia. Strong foundations are now in place, and we are confident LA28 will deliver exceptional Olympic and Paralympic equestrian events in a truly outstanding venue.”
