EA Para High Performance Lead Nick Hunter described the squad as one of Australia’s most competitive para dressage teams in recent years, with three athletes ranked inside the world’s top six of their respective grades, including current Grade V World No.1 Lisa Martin.

Bridget Murphy with Penmain Promise and Lisa Martin with Vilaggio were both part of Australia’s Paris Paralympic team, as was Dianne Barnes with another horse, Sorena. Mietta Innes-Irons and Sir Helmut will be making their major championship debut.

The team will undertake a three-week staging camp in the Netherlands before heading to Aachen, where the Para Dressage competition runs from 19–23 August.

Congratulations to all selected athletes and support teams.
