All four Australian eventing horses have passed the first horse inspection at the Paris Olympics this morning in Versailles.

Shadow Man (Chris Burton), Virgil (Shane Rose), Don Quidam (Kevin McNab) and reserve horse Bold Venture (Shenae Lowings) are now all set to go for Saturday’s all-important dressage test.

There were tense moments for Great Britain, with the highly fancied Banzai du Loir (Yasmin Ingham) sent to the holding box and having to re-present. Later on, the horse was accepted much to the relief of the team. Only one horse failed the inspection, and that was Austria’s DSP Fighting Line (Lea Siegl).

The dressage is set to begin Saturday morning (5.30pm AEST), and you can read Olympian Heath Ryan’s preview guide here.
