Andrew Hoy and 17-year-old Vassily de Lassos (Jaguar Mail x Jalienny) secured ninth place from over 100 entrants in the CCI4*-S, finishing on their dressage score of 28.2. It was the combination’s best career finishing score to date, besides Luhmühlen CCI4*-S back in 2021 (27.6).
Also of note was Kevin McNab and 10-year-old Oldenburg Faro Imp’s (Wathnan F One USA x Master IMP) performance in the CCI4*-S. The combination only completed the dressage phase and elected to withdraw from the jumping phases, however their score of 23.8 was the third ranked and the combination’s best international dressage score to date.
Both Andrew Hoy with Vassily de Lassos and Kevin McNab with Faro Imp are qualified for the FEI World Championships and were recently long-listed on Australia’s Nominated Entries list. The Definite Entries are due on or before 27 July.

Across the classes, there were also several other Australian top ten finishes.
Kevin also picked up seventh place in the CCI3*-S (A) with Cassie, adding 1.6 cross country time faults to their dressage score for a total of 31.2, and placed third in the CCI2*-S with Monbeg Kobe on a dressage score of 29.2.
In the CCI3*-S (B), Sammi Birch finished on a dressage score of 30.7 for fourth place with Parkfield Pumpkin, while in the CCI1*-Intro, Catherine Burrell placed second with Queen Bee on 34.1 – adding just one rail to their dressage score.
