The latest dressage event featured riders from Great Britain, Germany and Taiwan alongside the Australian entries, with strong scores across the levels – in particular the hotly-contest II-3 category.

Aussies in the placings

Sarah Sherwood and Luke Purtill took the top two placings in the II-1 competition, with Sarah winning the Grade IV Intermediate A riding Dicavalli Royal Guess and Luke Purtill riding OEH Directors Choice to second place.

In the Grade IV Novice A, the results were reversed with Luke winning his first competition and Sarah claiming second.

Australia made it a clean sweep in the II-1 events, with Catherine Viney and Jackabite third in the Novice A, and Brooke Jones with Allengreen Jazzabelle placing third in the Intermediate A event.

The II-2 competition saw a similar result between Australia’s Sui Watts riding Kingswood Maximillion and Chloe Karsten riding Riff Raff. Sui won the Grade IV Intermediate A competition with Chloe in second place, and Chloe won the Grade IV Novice A competition ahead of Sui.

Our II-3 riders were also amongst the placings, with Phoebe Roche on Romper Stomper finishing second in both the Grade IV Intermediate A and Grade IV Novice A competitions. Grace Murphie-Ryan riding Pemberton Show Biz finished third in the Grade IV Novice A and a close fourth in the Grade IV Intermediate A.

Both Phoebe and Grace achieved scores exceeding 70% in both tests.

New rider Layne Auer riding Agent Albert also had promising rides, with good scores in the Development competition.
