Aussies impress with international dressage success

Australian dressage riders delivered an impressive weekend of results, with strong performances across both Intermediate II and Grand Prix levels.

At Hamminkeln Lichtenholz in Germany, Australians dominated the podium, securing a one-two finish in the Grand Prix.


In the S*** Grand Prix, Warwick McLean and Le Special (Grey Flanell x Sir Oldenburg) claimed victory with 70.633%, followed by William Matthew and Faye 43 (Furst Wilhelm x Aljano) on 69.133%. McLean also competed with a second horse, Legacy Rose (De Niro x Krack C) scoring 66.467%.

Earlier, the S*** Intermediate II saw another strong showing, with William Matthew and Faye 43 finishing second on 70.965%, while Warwick McLean and Le Special took third place with 69.956%.

Meanwhile across the Atlantic, week twelve of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Florida saw Alanna Richards make a successful Grand Prix debut aboard her own Mist of Titanium OLD (Millennium x Diamonit I), scoring 69.565% to take the win. The horse was previously campaigned at CDI4* Grand Prix level by Finland’s Emma Kanerva.
