Aussies deliver strong results at WEC Ocala finale

At the final event of the WEC Ocala Winter Spectacular in Florida, Aussies were out in force delivering strong results across large and competitive fields.

Jamie Winning-Kermond and Tulara Wat Colbensky claimed an impressive third place in the $32,000 CSI2* Grand Prix Qualifier 1.45m in a class of 55.

In the $32,000 CSI2* Winning Round 1.45m Mia Smith and Conkelkiefer placed tenth.

In the $65,000 CSI2* WEC Grand Prix 1.45m, Maleah Lang McMahon and Elalisa placed tenth.

Hilary Scott and Oaks Milky Way recorded an excellent fifth place in the $63,000 CSIO5* Grand Prix Qualifier 1.55m class, while Lauren Balcomb and Verdini D’Houtveld Z finished eleventh in the $120,000 CSIO5* 1.50m.

Looking ahead, Hilary Scott and Oaks Milky Way will turn their attention to the final major event on Florida’s winter circuit at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington where they will be joined by fellow Aussie Thaisa Erwin and Hialita B in contesting the $1,000,000 CSI5* Rolex US Equestrian Open Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Jamie Winning-Kermond and Tulara Wat Colbensky will be preparing to represent Australia in Texas at the FEI Jumping World Cup Final in April.
