Definite entries released for FEI World Cup Jumping Final

The FEI have released the definite entries list for the World Cup Jumping Final in Leipzig, Germany next month, with 37 combinations set to represent a total of 20 countries.

Defending champion Steve Guerdat of Switzerland heads the list with Victorio Des Frotards; Guerdat will be joined be fellow countryman Martin Fuchs and Chaplin the Sinner. The competitive Western European League will contribute 19 combinations, including Germany’s Marcus Ehning, 22-year-old Harry Charles of Great Britain, Jack Whitaker and his uncle John Whitaker, Harrie Smolders of the Netherlands, and Denis Lynch of Ireland among others.   

The two American Leagues will contribute ten riders, including the USA’s McLain Ward and Ireland’s Conor Swail, who was in fine form towards the end of the season.  

The Central European League contributes a further two riders, the Arab Leagues will contribute four, while the Eurasian League will see Uzbekistan’s Bekzod Kurbanov line up with horse King Cornet L.

There will unfortunately be no Australian representatives at this year’s World Cup Final.
