Following the news that Galway Downs will not serve as the equestrian venue for the Los Angeles Games, Santa Anita Park has now been confirmed.
From 4-6 April, National Capital Horse Trials Association (NCHTA) held their second international horse trials in the space of seven months – and what a well-received event it was. The Asset Construction Hire Canberra International Horse Trials saw many riders on the hunt for qualification scores ahead of Adelaide Equestrian Festival (1-4 May), leading to big classes and impressive results.
Galway Downs will not serve as the equestrian venue for the Los Angeles Games. Largely considered a near-certainly to host equestrian for LA28 in just over three years’ time, it was announced late last week that this is no longer the case – much to the surprise of the venue.
The Adelaide Equestrian Festival is set to return from Thursday 1 May 2025 – Sunday 4 May 2025 with more than 70 elite equestrian athletes and their horses taking to the Arena and Cross Country course for a truly spectacular, family-friendly event.
From 11-23 August 2026, the FEI World Championships return to Aachen.
